Frank and Christine Longley’s initial solar experience was an exercise in frustration. Then they approached ERS and now couldn’t be happier.
“We’d paid a deposit to another solar company which then for months only came up with excuses for not following through,” says Frank.
Angry, disheartened but still wanting to go solar, the Longleys contacted ERS for a free consultation.
“Grant (the ERS consultant) put us at rest,” says Frank. “He wasn’t pushy, gave us time scales for all stages of the installation process and the best part was he didn’t try and sell us anything extra that we didn’t need. We got clear, concise information that we felt we could totally rely on.”
The couple decided on a 3kw system for their Craigmore house. This was calculated to meet their current needs and has the capability to be connected to an upgraded battery storage system in the future.
They also got a monitor installed that operates through the internet so that both the Longleys and ERS can review the household’s energy use and work out long-term strategies to keep their running costs to the minimum.
“ERS took charge of the whole process and kept us updated on every step,” says Frank. “We got the system installed last week, which was less than a month after we first contacted ERS.
“The installation guys were all friendly, thorough and caring. They kept me informed of how and what they were doing at the time….just to make sure I was happy.
“Now that’s what I call a caring company.”
Did the Longelys get their deposit back from the first company? “Yes, but it took three phone calls and two emails,” says Frank.
“Dealing with ERS has been a brilliant experience,” he says.
