What better time to think about solar panels than the months when you are really worrying about bills: home heating bills, the next quarter’s council rates payment, increasing grocery bills for those hearty winter meals, the list goes on and on.

Here’s how you do it.

You take charge of your electricity bill by converting your rooftop into a solar-generating power plant. If you get the right advice this switch will not only give you a $0 electricity bill, after the system is paid off it will actually earn you money.

Let’s start with assuming you have a typical quarterly power bill that looks like this:

Summer $500, Autumn $300, Winter $500, Spring $300. You are paying them year after year, feeding big companies’ pocket from your family’s budget.  What would you do with $2000 savings a year? A family road trip to Melbourne? A new big-screen TV for the footy season? Or what about that classy surprise present for the love of your life?

These savings and credits mean you have swapped your current quarterly power bill payments into repayments on your solar system. The bills are swapped!
