One of the most popular feel-good media stories this week was the Sydney family who installed one of Australia’s first Tesla Powerwalls (solar power storage battery).

After six months the Pfitzner family have cut their power bill by 90 per cent and they couldn’t be happier. “That’s 59 cents per day for electricity” father-of-two Nick Pfitzner said.

He also reconfirmed in various media interviews some key points that Energy Rating Systems (ERS) has been telling clients for the past six months.

Mr Pfitzner went on to say that “any household could save money by making simple changes – smarter devices, better practices”. This mirrors the ERS message almost word for word.

The other major benefit of making the change to smarter use of power storage is the feeling of empowerment that decision gives a householder.
Again Mr Pfitzner summed up the feelings of many of our ERS clients: “I just look at the facts: I’m saving about 90 per cent on my power bills. I’m making my household greener than it was, through waste reduction and buying green power.”

ERS salutes Mr Pfitzner. Like him we know solar is the future. That’s why we’ve worked hard to secure long-term partnerships with major industry suppliers to ensure a range of the best and latest technology is available to you.
